Party time with chocolate

He ho  everyone,

I hope you had a great week so far. For me it’s my last week before my semester ends.  It’s not a busy week, just had one easy exam. The rest is really chilled.

Today is the last day of school. So it’s party time!!

And because I love to bake,  I made lots of yummy cake and cookies yesterday.

And because this is a food blog, I’ll gonna share my ideas with you. Sometimes I don’t follow the recipe, I just throw everything in what I think, needs to be in there.

So here are the recipes:

Oat cinnamon cookies

Ingredients

200 g oat meal

50 g brown sugar

half tsp cinnamon

1 egg

65 g butter

Chocolate chips

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C
  2. Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl together.
  3. Add the egg and butter.
  4. Make little, as big as hazelnuts,  balls.
  5.  You can leave them like little balls or make them flat like cookies.
  6. Put them in the oven for 10 to 15 minutes.
  7. Enjoy

Chocolate cookies / brownies

Note: I always have the problem with my cookies  that they won’t get nice and round.  They always just melt into each other.  So I’ve used the dough to make them like brownies.

Ingredients

300 g all propose flour

100 g brown sugar

3 Tbsp cacao

1 Pk vanilla sugar

1 Pk baking powder

2 eggs

100 g butter

Milk

Chocolate

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together.
  3. Chop the chocolate in bigger pieces. I’ve used all my leftover chocolate from Christmas.
  4. Add chocolate.
  5. Add egg and butter.
  6. Wisk it all together and add more and more milk to get a nice and smooth consistens.
  7. Put the dough on the baking tray.
  8. Bake for about 10 to 12 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!

Chocolate cupcakes with Advocaat
Ingredients

400 g all purpose flour

100 g brown sugar

3 Tbsp cacao

1 Pk vanilla sugar

1 Pk baking powder

2 eggs

80 g butter

100 g dark chocolate

Milk

Advocaat

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180 °C.
  2. Mix all dry ingredients together.
  3. Add roughly chopped chocolate.
  4. Add egg, butter and some milk.
  5. You can add as much advocaat as you feel is best.
  6. Mix all the ingredients and add milk til it’s a smooth dough.
  7. Put the dough either in a muffin tin or I used a cupcake maker.
  8. Depending on what you use, it takes about  8 to 12 minutes.
  9. Enjoy!

Now it’s your turn to be creative.  Leave some comments and let me know what you think.
Have a great week! Read you soon!

Wonder waffles are wonderful

Hey ho everyone!

Here we’re about to end another Semester. Right now it’s time to  finish all exams and in about two weeks our holidays gonna start. So my best friends and me started a new tradition in our friendship.

Now everytime before the holidays start we will go to Wonder Waffels – a waffle store near us – and eat Waffles !! Isn’t that a great tradition??!! Yeah I thought so too!

It was amazing, you go in this waffle store and  you can choose between so many diffrent toppings and even put several on. The price isn’t too bad either.

So but if you don’t have such a great store near by, but you have a waffle iron at home, I have a really delicious recipe for you.

Cannoli are originally from Sicily and are a must-try of Sicilian cuisine. In Italy, they are commonly known as “cannoli siciliani”, Sicilian cannoli.

Cannoli consist of tube-shaped shells of fried pastry dough, filled with a sweet, creamy filling usually containing ricotta. They range in size from no bigger than a finger.

Stroopwafel -heavely sweet dutch cookies

Hey ho everyone!

Today I’ve chosen a recipe which will make your sweet tooth happy.

It’s a dutch candy called stroopwafle. Translated it means as much as syrup waffle.

The waffle is made from two thin layers of baked dough with a caramel-like syrup filling in the middle. It is one of the favotite sweets of dutch people and their tourists. I’ve tried it for the first time in the city of Gouda, where it was originally made first.

My friend from the Netherlands has send me an authentic recipe for homemade stroopwafels, cause she knows how much I love sweet things!!!
