I hope you had a great weekend. I definitely had, I’ve skyped with my friend Anne, from the Netherlands. We’ve talked for hours. Talking about the good old days, it brought back some good memories. One of them was our spontaneous weekend trip to Hamburg, Germany.
There we’ve done all the typical tourist things. Like going on a boat trip, sightseeing in the city, watching the musical “The Lion King “, taking selfies in front of famous buildings, visiting the “Kietz” and the “Reeperbahn” and of course visiting some awesome restaurants.
One of these was the cute little Turkish restaurant “Peacetanbul”.
They have really nice staff and a great atmosphere. And their food is delicious.
This is a vegetarian burger with goat cheese and fries.
And this one are caneloni filled with spinach and feta.
Everything is really yummy and looks really good. They staff is really fast and friendly.
So if you’ll ever be in Hamburg and you’re looking for a great place to eat, go to “Peacetanbul”. You won’t regret it!
When I was in New Zealand some girls and I went to this cute little restaurant in Hamilton every tuesday night. Cause tuesday nights they have dessert night! That means all Desserts half Price !!! And they have so many diffrent, yummy things you just want to try all! Chocolate brownies, Cocolate cake, Chocolate Fondue, Cheese cake, Icecream variations and more. and then there was the chocolate overload…
The chocolate overlod is basically all desserts in one! And because I love chocolate so much my best friend and I took the chocolate overload. It’s really filling and we couldn’t eat all up, but it was sooo delish!!
Today I’ve got another Comfort Food for you! It’s one of the oldest Danish dishes from the middle of the18th century. There are different types of recipes that are prepared locally – and in its own style and variation.
Both have the two basic elements in the dish areapplesand thick slices ofstreaky pork– which at that time either was preserved bysmoking, salting or air-drying, to last for over one year. When the industrialisation period started in the19th century-and many peasants moved to the bigger cities for work – the“Æbleflæsk”dish followed with the new inhabitants – and slowly theApple Porkbecame very popular among them too.
Today the tasty and mouth watering“Æbleflæsk”is turned into a national winter supplement and recipe – that is enjoyed by nearly every Dane at wintertime – especially at Christmas time.
What dish comes first to your mind, if someone asks you for danish dishes? I’d think of smørrebrød! If you don know smørrebrød or open faced sandwich, it’s a butteredrye breadand decorated with all types of toppings.
There are so many different potions of food items ascold cuts – pieces of meat or fish – various paste – salad dressingsandcheese.“Smørrebrød”is normally served together with the famous Danishbeerandsnaps.
This one is a really easy recipe. Just take some rye bread slices, butter them and fully cover with the basic entrées of either vegetables – seafood or meat choices – and then the many types of tasty topping creations – which altogether is in great harmony with the rest of all the delicious food items on the sandwich.
Today I just wanna share this amazing video with you. Some of you might even know it already. Now you might say:” What has that to do with a food blog???!” I think this topic is present in all parts of our life. So it also has to do something with a food blog.
Just an example: With food you have boxes like Vegans, Vegetarians and people who eat meat – just to name a few… Now you’re sitting in a plane to anywhere and Vegetarians, Vegans, etc. do get their meals first. You might get upset or not, but you’ve already put them into another box than you are in.
We just live in a time where we too quickly put people into boxes, but maybe we have more in common than what we think…
I just discovert the most delicious thing you can do with a toast – beside french toast!
It’s a chocolate sandwich. Not with Nutella or anything … it’s with actual chocolate! And the chocolate was pink and with sprinkels! I felt like a little girl, who just has seen an pink unicorn! It was so delicious!!! 🙂
So now I’m gonna tell you how to have the same amazing taste experience as me !
